Not jewelry...
But look what I made tonight.
We went and picked out our strawberries. I have so many left. I'll probably end up making another pie. Oh my, are they heaven in pie form :)
Sometimes Im just in awe at the beautiful things that Mother Earth creates. Hell, most of the time I am. From huge natural rock formations to medicinal plants to the beautiful little strawberry.
If anyone wants the recipe for the pie, it was super easy and on the back of a label for a pie crust. I would be more than happy to post it if someone wants it.

Rock Porn
A picture is worth 1,000 words.
I do love rose quartz something fierce. These hearts and squares are just huge. I dont know what Im going to do with them, but I needed to bring them home.
And these labrodorites just has the prettiest rainbows. I like them alittle rough, but they have all the shine.
This string was my huge purchase. I just loved them!
Its been a long day, we were up at 7am to get ready and head out to the show. Spent a few hours there, ate, then went to the zoo. The zoo was rather disappointing, but I got to eat some Dippin' Dots, and a snow cone.
Two years ago when I went to this gem and rock expo there were quite a few more vendors, but still tons to look at this year. My boyfriend, Mac, even bought a few strands for himeself. That I will of course have to make into something for him, but it was nice to see him interested in rocks too. He didnt really get interested until someone handed him a list of energy properties and stuff. I can rant and rave and tell him about stones till I was blue in the face, but it took a sheet of paper to do it for him. Men, go figure. But it was nice to have him asking questions and picking out his own stones. He bought some Malachite, amethyst, green adventurine, and he got a unikite dragon. And his big buy was a flourite massage wand. Damn, I didnt realize those things felt so nice.
Overall it was a great day! A day away from the apartment, buying some rocks, looking at animals and spending some time with my boyfriend.

Rocks!
Leaving for the rock expo in minutes. Then over an hour drive to get there. But thats ok, rocks are worth it! I hope to go to the zoo afterwards since its minutes away from the rock expo. I havent been to a zoo in years. They sadden me, but I cant help but want to go.
Im waiting on the boyfriend now...

Custom order
Just finished up a custom order for a trade that Im doing. Its taken me a bit long than I thought to get done, not because of the piece, but I havent been feeling too well lately.
Tiny Aluminum byzantine segmented necklace with black beads, also made a matching ankle bracelet. Just about 20 inches long, and is 3/16ths of an inch wide. All beaded segments were done by hand too.
Two days till my rock show. Yay, and I have more money to spend than I thought!

Keeping Busy
Im planning on going to a huge gem and rock expo this Saturday. I have been saving money for it for a month now. I went a couple years ago, with no money to spend and it just broke my heart, so this time I knew I had to be prepared. I really want to use a lot more stone beads with my chain, and this should be a good opportunity to do so. Im so excited for this show that Ive already started a countdown. I cant wait to show off my loot.
Ive been busy this last week and weekend doing tons of orders and trades.
This is a stainless steel cuff done in a European 6 in 1 pattern. Made really wide by the customer's request. The rings are all 3/64" thick wire and 3/16" wide. This baby is going to be super hard to part with now. Its so smooth and silky. Im definately making myself a set soon.
The one is part of my handflower and aklet set. A guy bought it for his girlfriend. I was so happy to hear that it is going to be a gift, I had to get it done quick for him. The green is actually a lot more emerald in color and dark olive. The set is made with bright aluminum and beads in a Japanese 6 in 1 pattern. All the bead segments were made by me. The rings are 3/64" thick wire and 3/16" wide.
And I finally got around to finishing up a dice bag, or whatever pouch. Its made from stainless steel rings. About 5.5" X 3.5". Rings are 1/16" thick wire and 5/16" wide. Closes with a drawstring.
This is another newer piece for me too. Its a solid stainless European 4 in 1 handflower. This one feels great to wear and is a lot heavier that my other handflowers. The rings are 1/16" thick wire and 3/16" wide.
